I was surprised to not see a topic about Grand-Am on here, especially with the 50th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Daytona having just passed. It seems there are tons of Nascar fans and even plenty F1 fans here, does nobody like road racing as well?

I went to the Rolex 24 just last weekend and it was an amazing experience! There's got to be someone else out there who enjoys Grand-Am as much as I do...

Can't believe how lucky the 01 got. Also glad to see they didn't pull off the complete come back. Well done to the 99.

Good race and for a change it was someone other than Ganassi.

road course racing rules! if you think it does not, then obviously you have NEVER driven a race car on a road course.
yes it takes skill to do what the Nascar BOYS do, but watching it sucks. road courses are very seldom dull affairs.
I watch Pirelli World Challenge, Grand Am, Indy, ALMS, F-1, DTM, BTCC, WTCC FIA GT-1, anything that turns both ways and of course the Nascar raod course races, but not round-y-round races.
I am now retired from track days, but it was a blast!

Hummmm....., a penalty for the 60 for an entry that can't catch the BMW. Seems their performance balancing is more than just a bit off. They are not going to keep fans if they can't get it right.

Hope it's not a preview of the season. BMW & Pcars vs Audi, if I wanted that I could watch DTM.

With the 'unification' this should be a good weekend. The ALMS cars have always been some of my favorites.

Tickets just went on sale for the Grand-Am of the Americas to be held at COTA on March 1-2, 2013. $59 for reserved seats in the Main Grandstand, Turn 1 or Turn 15 (including Paddock access) and $549 for the VIP Experience.

Hummmm......, wait and see. They sure have a lot to sort out. A lot is going to depend on how the manufactures respond to the change and what support they lend as the series are sorted out. At least the races should be on live TV now.

It sounds good, but I just hope that it doesn't become some kind of clone of NASCAR.

A good weekend for GM with two Corvette DPs on the podium (1 & 2) and two Camaros for GP (1 & 3). I guess they loosened up the racing surface for Indy cars.

Yeah, Timberline, the Corvette DP troubles were upsetting. I couldn't believe it when I saw the SunTrust pulling into the garages twice within the first hour of the race. I was secretly hoping for a Gainsco win for Alex Gurney as a 50th anniversary of his father winning the very first Rolex24 (also in a red car). I really loved the color on the Spirit of Daytona and my girlfriends favorite color is blue as well as Corvette being her favorite car, so I think she was pulling for that one. But in reality (against what ottodrommo said about Ganassi) I was hoping for an 01 repeat. I must admit I'm a fan of Scott Pruett as he is quite skilled behind the wheel.

Just hoping it isn't a Ganassi dominant year again.

I watched a goodly portion of it, but was disappointed in the new Corvette troubles.
