The Energy Information Administration released its weekly report on the condition of petroleum inventories in the United States today.

Here are some highlights:

CRUDE INVENTORIES:
Crude oil inventories decreased by 1.4 million barrels to a total of 338.1 million barrels. At 338.1 million barrels, inventories are 26.8 million barrels below last year (-7.3%) and are in the upper limit of the average range.

GASOLINE INVENTORIES:
Gasoline inventories decreased by 2.1 million barrels to 204.2 million barrels. At 204.2 million barrels, inventories are now 6.2 million barrels, or 2.9% lower than last year (last week that number was 2.8% lower). Here's how individual regions and their gasoline inventory fared...

When your shipping out more gas this is what happens to inventory so you can charge more at home and keep this economy down.

Unless the U.S. nationalizes their oil companies (I am not advocating this) the supply from their oil producers will go to the highest bidder and not go to the U.S. public until which time the prices to be got from domestic sales of the product reaches levels to be gained from overseas sales. Just economic fact.
