No matter who's number one, for the average consumer like you and I, it's quality over quantity. No matter how many vehicles either one of them sell, just make sure the one I'm buying is soundly made, that's all I care about!

With 17 million recalls in 2010 you think people would stay away from Toyota not very smart people I guess.

GM shows that the government built those cars and trucks according to our leader. Maybe why they aren't no. 1.

even with the quality issues of Toyota and the tsunamai, they can beat Government Motors anytime! Will the taxpayers support another GM bailout when it comes (not if, but when)?

I'm not surprised that Toyota is beating out GM - Toyota has a far superior product and dealer network.

Note that despite The Won's efforts to kidney punch Toyota by howling that the false stories about sudden acceleration "needed investigation" Toyota still triumphed. The Won, for all his supposed brilliance can't understand this. He's needs to be told: "You didn't stop this from happening. Someone else built this."

As expected. I wonder if their quality is still the best or if it's just perceived that way. I heard Ford is up there now.
