I just retired and am now trying my hand at screenwriting. My first project is a sports thriller about a Marine, home from Afghanistan, enters the Marathon and powerfully challenges a world-popular champion favorite. A bunch of bad guys try to interfere to protect their interests (commercial endorsements, etc.) on the favorite.

EdPG (if you're still monitoring these threads),
You should have included the category "Avoiding?" I always AVOID it.
27000 runners in a 26-mile stretch of roadway. Definitely something to avoid!

The roadblocks they set up for it were obnoxious. We were walking and could not get to the other side of Copley Sq. The street were basically dead ends with fences guiding runners who had already finished down the right street to their sign out place. At least cars couldn't get near to get stuck, the walkers and tourists were scrambling just to find their way around!
